Personally , I would like to see this returned to the screen (TV showing , regular DVD, Blu-ray), just restore the original , I can't stand Hayden's perverted smile anymore (even though Hayden is a fine actor for the role of young Anakin) !
The late Sebastian Shaw , passed away on 23 rd December, 1994 at the age of 89 at Brighton , Sussex , Great Britain.
If they are going to bring back Anakin Skywalker as the Force Ghost in Star Wars EP IX, I beg them to use a CGI version of Sebastian Shaw , no more Hayden Christensen's perverted smile !!

According to Rian Johnson , the director for Star Wars : The Last Jedi, there will be a brand new Star Wars Trilogy, the first of which will be written and directed by himself. The new saga will have new characters and the story happens in another part of the galaxy . No other information have been released yet.
Will they still be about Jedi vs Sith?

Frankly, I am not too excited about the Last Jedi (I was disappointed in the Force Awakens). Ever since Disney took over , the franschise is just not the same as when George Lucas was doing it. As Mark Hamill puts it, it is no longer about making good movies but bringing in cash! The enthusiasm lies totally in financial gain. I am sure when they are George's stories , the incentive wasn't just monetary. Unfortunately, people get old and lose the energy to continue on, Mr. Lucas sold it to Disney and let them take over. When I look at the photo of George Lucas with the CEO of Disney, there isn't a smile on Mr. Lucas's face , I wonder ..............
Sadly, after a long period of illness , Mr. Baker died on the 13 th August, 2016, in Preston, Lancashire, England. He was born on 24 th August, 1934 in Birmingham, England, so died just a few days short from his 82 nd birthday. Mr. Baker enjoyed the nature, he found peace and tranquility in his garden, and had a passion for wildlife documentaries. He had been ill (respiratory problem) for a couple of years. Before his sickness took over, he enjoyed going around the world attending various conventions to meet with Star Wars fans.
Mr. Baker was R2-D2 in all Star Wars movies except Ep 7 in which he was the consultant. He was also one of the Ewoks in Ep 6, the one who steals the Imperial Speeder Bike. He was also in the 1980 movie The Elephant Man. He is survived by his two children. His wife Eileen died in 1993.
I guess this isn't really news. Rumours had it in 2014 someone was going to do a spinoff of young Han Solo to be released in 2018.
News came out a few days ago saying Christopher Miller and Phil Lord (The Lego Movie) will be directing the Han Solo movie with script to be written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan. Lawrene Kasdan co-wrote The Empire Strikes Back , Return Of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Kathleen Kennedy is the producer of the film with Lawrence Kasdan also as the executive producer as well as Jason McGatlin.
Also , there will be another spinoff movie about Boba Fett, the director of which is still being searched.

Disney/Lucasfilm is to release the Blu-Ray unaltered versions of EP IV , V and VI. No release date yet but the project has been going for awhile but due to some damages to the original film negatives, it has been challenging.
The goal is to release these Blu-Ray versions before EP VII is shown at theatres.
Does it mean Sebastian Shaw is back as the Force ghost with Alec Guinness ?
If Mr. Shaw was still alive today, he would be 110 years old.

The Star Wars team is thrilled to announce the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.
Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.
Director J.J. Abrams says, "We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."
Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.
