STAR WARS KENNY BAKER (R2D2) PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 81 .

Sadly, after a long period of illness , Mr. Baker died on the 13 th August, 2016, in Preston, Lancashire, England. He was born on 24 th August, 1934 in Birmingham, England, so died just a few days short from his 82 nd birthday.
Mr. Baker enjoyed the nature, he found peace and tranquility in his garden, and had a passion for wildlife documentaries. He had been ill (respiratory problem) for a couple of years. Before his sickness took over, he enjoyed going around the world attending various conventions to meet with Star Wars fans.

Mr. Baker was R2-D2 in all Star Wars movies except Ep 7 in which he was the consultant. He was also one of the Ewoks in Ep 6, the one who steals the Imperial Speeder Bike. He was also in the 1980 movie The Elephant Man. He is survived by his two children. His wife Eileen died in 1993.
