This is an exciting episode when Earth Federation Fleet finally confronts the Comet Empire Gatlantis. SPOILER ALERT . DON'T READ THE FOLLOWINGS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE STORY.
This is the largest Gatlantis battleship yet . Like Andromeda , capable of destroying the whole fleet.
My favourite ship in the yamato franchise -Andromeda . I wish they made a standalone series for this battleship.
The use of all four gravity spread cannons.
The gravity spread has the effect of amplifying the Wave Motion Canon energy, making it possible for the Wave Motion Cannons from the whole fleet to destroy the "white comet".
The real Gatlantis appears after its comet-shaped energy shield is destroyed by t he Wave Motion Cannons from the whole Earth Federation Fleet.
The size of Gatlantis is comparable to the gas giant Saturn! Saturn is the second largest planet in the Solar system. Saturn is totally "consumed" by Gatlantis!
There are several planets within Gatlantis's giant claws. What are these planets?
Does Gatlantis transform into a super giant battleship??
Second round of the Wave Motion Cannon attack from the Earth Federation fleet!
Unfortunately, not even all the Wave Motion Cannon attacks can destroy the planet size Gatlantis.
The intense gravity pull from Gatlantis causes the whole Earth Federation Fleet in disarray like mosquitoes in a storm.
The giant spear destroy the twin Wave Motion cannons on Andromeda AAAA-0001.
Andromeda Apollo Norm sacrifices herself to save Andromeda AAAA-0001-2202.
This is different from the original Space Battleship Yamato 2 TV episode in which Andromeda drives herself into Comet Empire Comet city and gets destroyed!
Andromeda AAAA-0001-2202 is then able to escape the gravity pull.
Yamato arrives the scene and .....
...... prepares to fire her Wave Motion Cannon.... but .......
......Yamato's Wave Motion Engine was sabotaged and lost the power, Wave Motion engine dies and so is the Wave Motion Cannon.
The episode ends with Yamato being sucked into Gatlantic Comet energy cloud.

Yamato sistership - Space Battleship Ginga (Galaxy)! I guess the design is the predecesor of Space Battleship Yamato 2520.
