SPACE BATTLE SHIP YAMATO , FINAL BATTLE VERSION


   Many newly added weapons are transferred from Galaxy (main cannons) .

   The cosmo radars are enlarged and there are now four fighter catapults at the back of Yamato. Many anti-aircraft guns are added to this upgraded Yamato( I do not know why all these would be regarded as upgrade). As mentioned in vol. 5 , Yamato will be equipped with Transit Wave Motion Cannon (same as the one in Yamato Revival?) .

   ...but these so called upgrades can help Bandai sell new model with minor change in the mould.











    I rather have a third main cannon or one at the bottom ofthe ship than having some extra anti-aircraft guns, or upgrade the Wave Motion Cannon. I think they call the so called upgraded Wave Motion Cannon in the final battle , トランジット波動砲 Transit Wave Motion Cannon (the same one they use in ヤマト復活編, Yamato Revival ?).

ZZZ-0001 ANDROMEDA KAI

  During the last encounter with Gatlantis at Saturn , both the Wave Motion Cannons and engine were damaged, resulted in no-warp capability which was provided by two Dreadnought class carriers attached to Andromeda AAA-0001 using gravity anchors.

  After return to Earth , at the Time Fault factory , AAA-0001 was subjected to emergency repair and given a major upgraded with autonomous navigation and high mobility systems , the latter requires the crew to wear special suits. Dreadnought signature Wave Motion Cannon splitters were incorporated into Andromeda, upgrading the Dual Wave Motion Cannons to Quad Wave Motion Cannons.
  
   As suggested by Captain Yamanami , high mobility with weapons pose a great risk, it is decided that the ship must be operated by at least one crew. In the case of Captain Yamanami's Andromeda, he is the only crew. Several of this new modified Andromedas are manufactured and they are unmanned , the newly formed fleet is given the code name YF-2203 and Andromeda Kai is the first ship - ZZZ-0001YF-2203 ,which is the only manned ship in the fleet. The fleet is commissioned to provide the defense for the Mars space region.
 
  The above mentioned of Andromeda with two attached Dreadnought class carriers is also used in Andromeda Kai ZZZ-0001YF-2203 to combat Gatlantis fleet again.
