The film was introduced at tha Venezia Film Festival a few weeks ago, and is going to screen here in Italy too. I will certainly buy the DVD or BluRay when it comes out, I will see whether the japanese edition or the italian one. Many people say that this film has nothing to do with Harlock. Having seen all the previous incarnations, and from what I ahve seen till now of this movie, I beg to disagree. In my opinions the characters still have the personality of their previous incarnatons (it is not too difficult to see Daiba Tadashi in the character of Yama/Logan) and the overall scenerio remembers a lot My Youth in Arcadia and SSX. Anyway, can't wait to see the film.
I wait for the DVD but I can't say I like the Arcadia design , I wish they came up with something similar to the OVA version, they can add a few more cannons to the ship. I always thought the ship hadn't enough firing power.
