1/1000 アンドロメダ 改 DX 四連装波動砲 1/1000 SPACE BATTLESHIP ANDROMEDA DX (QUADRUPLE WAVE MOTION CANNONS)

 U.N.C.F. AAA-0001-2202 DX does not exist in the anime but I follow the design of Andromeda DX (ZZZ-0001YF-2203) Quadruple Wave Motion Canons and made the "beam splitters" for the Quadruple Wave Motion Canons. I didn't copy the design exactly , there is a cresant-shaped cut-out at the back of the "beam splitters" according to the photos I have seen from the upcoming 1/1000 Andromeda DX model.

 The Andromeda DX  (ZZZ-0001YF-2203) has a navy blue / red colour scheme similar to Yamato 2202, I personally don't think that colour scheme work on Andromeda. I know there are some other minor differences between AAA-0001-2202 and ZZZ-0001YF-2203 , such as the ship serial number and other decals around the ships, but the main physical difference is the Quadruple Wave Motion Canons. Andomeda DX is assigned ZZZ-0001YF-2203, ZZZ probably signfies the last ship of its class (Andromeda class) and 2203 signifies the year? Not sure what YF stands for.

 The "beam splitters" are more than just two pieces of plastic , some mechanical designs are incorporated (just like in the upcoming 1/1000 Andromeda DX model) and they are detachable , so that the Andromeda can return to her non DX version.

I still don't know if  Andromeda DX's Wave Motion Cannon in Space Battleship Yamato 2202 vol. 6 is like the Dreadnought class battleship, an energy splitter or it is a true Quadruple Wave Motion Cannon!?

  He applied the 'Yamato-colour scheme"  to the 1/1000 Andromeda and used the decals from 1/1000 Andromeda Antares. Personally , I don't think the "Yamato color scheme" work on Andromeda.

    I guess the modeller made some medifications to the 1/1000 Andromeda. The third Wave Motion Cannon LEDs can be driven by the same signals as the other two Wave Motion Canon LEDs (just tap the anode and cathode terminals of the LED to the anode and cathode of the other LEDs of the Wave Motion Canon). I am sure the LED driver will be able to provide current to the third LED. This is a true tri Wave Motion Canon design, not using some beam splitters.



   This would be a better design for Quaduple Wave Motion Cannon.
