GIANT SINKHOLE IN FUKUOKA , JAPAN

I guess that people in Japan knew about this already. A 5-lane road suddenly collapsed and is not due to earth quake. I wonder if it has to do with "digging too much" in the surrounding area!? Luckily, the surrounding buildings are still there but I would move my butt faster than getting off the Titanic leaving  the building.
