This is the already-released repainted 2010 version of the original Primus transformable action figure. It has the same mould with just different colouring scheme.  The majority of colouring is silver and blue. From the video below , the paint job is slightly different from the promotional poster and prototype. The gold (cities and towers) looks fleshy (似肉色) or ivory-like (似象牙色), the silver looks less metallic.

The narrator of the video suggests that the arms should be swapped between the original version and this 2010 version;  and I agree with him that the swapping does the colouring of the respective versions justice - the black in the original  version blends with the metallic silver in the new version and the blue in the new version blends with the darker blue in the original colouring scheme. Takara Tomy still hasn't corrected the colour of the eyes.  The eyes should be red at all time.

I modified my original version so that the eyes are red normally and still light up in red when activated.

I still prefer the TV colouring scheme with jade-like colouring for the body and gray for the rest.

Takara Tomy's original colouring scheme (2006) which does not exactly match the TV colouring scheme. I guess the jade colour is too expensive for toy production???

This nicely and I must say the most excellent customised Primus (by Altezen) I have seen is the closest incarnation to the TV version and I think it is better than what Takara Tomy produced. This could be used as the reference colouring scheme for the live-action movie if there is any chance of Primus's appearance in the movie.

Is it worth getting if one already got the original Primus?? It depends....if you have the cash, sure; otherwise, for the price, it is not worth paying the premium for merely a repaint version.

I wonder if there will be a live-action movie version of Primus though I doubt Primus will ever appear in the live-action movie as robot.

This is another version that I came across. It is called the Rodius Primus, basically painted with red, yellow and metallic silver. Good job in emphasizing the mechanical nature of Cybertron with the metallic weathering.

Another colour-customised Primus using Optimus-Prime colour (red, blue), this one has no weathering.
