SPIDER-MAN 4 AND 5; ANTI VENOM

Sorry I have not been typing Chinese lately, it just takes too long. Anyway, This might be old news but I am excited to know that Sony has secured Spider-Man movie director Sam Raimi as the director of Spider-man 4 and again Tobey Maguire as Spider-man for Spider-man 4. Rumour  has it that Spider-man 5 would be filmed as a back-to-back movie to Spider-Man 4, much like Back to the future. Rumour also has it that Maguire gets $50 millions US plus profit sharing for both Spider-man 4 and 5. Kirsten Dunst (Mary-Jane Watson) said before she would only return to Spider-man with Maguire, so we can be sure that Kirsten is returning as Mary-Jane in Spider-man 4. I hope the upcoming movie due out in year 2011 (so the rumour says) will be a better movie than 3 which did unjustice to both the Venom (Eddie Brock, actor Topher Grace) and Green Goblin (Harry Osborn, actor James Franco), the story moved too fast and killed off two major villains in one movie. This must be a Sony Executives' decison, BAD BAD BAAA~~~~D!!  Eddie Brock is still alive in the comics, it is really a bad decision to kill off Eddie in the movie. Venom is gone in the movie, there is almost no hope for Carnage to appear.

Everyone is speculating the Lizard (Dr. Curt Connors, one of Peter's professors) would be the upcoming villain,  and I hope so.  He has been around since the first Spider-man movie and it is about time to bring him out to the light. I also hope actor Bruce Campbell (actor from the Living Dead movies) would return as well as the man himself, Stan Lee. I just like these recurring roles in the movie. I swear I didn't know J.K Simmons's hair was a fake in Spider-man movies as Jonah Jameson. I have to admit J.K. Simmons did a good job in portraying Jameson.

Another exciting news is the introduction of a new Spider-man villain - Anti-Venom in August issue (#568) of Spider-Man, the first of  6 issues of New ways to die, written by Dan Slott. The design of this new villain is simple and yet effective - he simply has the reversed colours of Venom, black becomes white and white becomes black. However, he looks slimmer. I particularly like the spikes on his body.

Venom vs Anti Venom in Spider-man #570.

I wonder if he is more powerful than Carnage and what kind of power does he have? Talking about Carnage, I wish he was in the movie.

A new 7 inch figure of Anti-Venom will be released in Feb 2009 by Diamond Select. He  looks good to me.
